When I planned my scuba diving trip to Con Dao, I expected stunning reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But I discovered something on Amadive Con Dao's dive list: **Diving a Sunken Wreck**. My heart jumped. This was more than a typical dive; this was adventure into the past.
I'll admit, I felt nervous. Diving a wreck is serious business. But the team at **Amadive Con Dao Dive Center** were absolutely professional. The Divemasters gave us a very thorough briefing. We covered safety protocols, the story of the wreck, and what we would see. Being in such a small group immediately made me feel safe.
Going down was magical. At first, it was just a dark shape in the blue, then suddenly the structure appeared. It was huge. The ship is now a bustling artificial reef, covered in soft corals and swarming with fish. We saw big groupers peeking from the hull, and lionfish hiding in the cracks. The feeling of gliding next to this giant, silent structure is indescribable—eerie, beautiful, and humbling all at once. It's a here piece of history under the water.
For any an Open Water diver (or higher) coming to Con Dao and looking for something beyond the usual reef dive, I cannot recommend this **dive** enough. It was the absolute highlight of my diving trip. A massive thank you to the **Amadive** team for their professionalism and for making this unforgettable experience so safe.
